At this press conference, Xie Ming, president of Jiangsu Textile Industry Association, introduced the development of Jiangsu textile and garment industry in the past 20 years through a set of data. When the clothing festival was held in 1998, the main business income of the textile industry reached 16.128 billion yuan, and 1564.76 billion yuan in 2017, which increased nearly tenfold in the past 20 years. In terms of profits, the total profit in 1998 was 1.876 billion yuan, and the total profit in 2017 was 93.28 billion yuan. In terms of exports, the same significant increase was made, with exports of 5.682 billion yuan in 1999 and 48.967 billion yuan in 2017. Billion dollars. According to reports, the 20th Jiangsu International Garment Festival will continue to be hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government; co-sponsored by the China Textile Industry Federation and the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade; supported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; and sponsored by the Jiangsu Economic and Information Commission and the Jiangsu Textile Industry Association. It consists of the twentieth China Jiangsu International Clothing, Home Textile and Fabric Exposition, Jiangsu Fashion Creative Week 2018 and a series of activities.
